If We allow man to enjoy Our favours, and then take them away from him, he becomes despondent and ungrateful. 9 And if We make him taste a favor after distress has afflicted him, he will certainly say: The evils are gone away from me. Most surely he is exulting, boasting; 10 Except those who endure with patience and do the right, who will have pardon and a great reward. 11 Then would you possibly leave [out] some of what is revealed to you, or is your breast constrained by it because they say, "Why has there not been sent down to him a treasure or come with him an angel?" But you are only a warner. And Allah is Disposer of all things. 12 Or they say, "He (Prophet Muhammad SAW) forged it (the Quran)." Say: "Bring you then ten forged Surah (chapters) like unto it, and call whomsoever you can, other than Allah (to your help), if you speak the truth!" 13 And if they [whom you have called to your aid] are not able to help you, then know that [this Qur'an] has been bestowed from on high out of God's wisdom alone, and that there is no deity save Him. Will you, then, surrender yourselves unto Him?" 14 AS FOR THOSE who care for [no more than] the life of this world and its bounties - We shall repay them in full for all that they did in this [life,] and they, shall not be deprived of their just due therein: 15 These are they for whom there is nothing but fire in the hereafter, and what they wrought in it shall go for nothing, and vain is what they do. 16 Can they be (like) those who accept a Clear (Sign) from their Lord, and whom a witness from Himself doth teach, as did the Book of Moses before it,- a guide and a mercy? They believe therein; but those of the Sects that reject it,- the Fire will be their promised meeting-place. Be not then in doubt thereon: for it is the truth from thy Lord: yet many among men do not believe! 17 Who are more unjust than those who ascribe falsehood to God? When such people are brought into the presence of their Lord, the witness will say, "These are the ones who told lies about their Lord. Certainly God will condemn the unjust 18 "Those who would hinder (men) from the path of Allah and would seek in it something crooked: these were they who denied the Hereafter!" 19 They will in no wise frustrate (His design) on earth, nor have they protectors besides Allah! Their penalty will be doubled! They lost the power to hear, and they did not see! 20 It is such as these who have ruined their souls, and that which they fabricated shall fail them. 21 Undoubtedly they! in the Hereafter they shall be the greatest losers. 22 Lo! those who believe and do good works and humble themselves before their Lord: such are rightful owners of the Garden; they will abide therein. 23 ۞ Can the two groups, the blind and the deaf, be considered equal to those who have vision and hearing? Will you then not take heed? 24
