The dwellers of the forest also rejected the Messengers. 176 when their brother Shu'ayb said unto them: "Will you not be conscious of God? 177 I am for you an honest Messenger. 178 so fear God, and obey me. 179 I ask of you no wage for this; my wage is only with the Lord of the Worlds. 180 ۞ Fill up the measure and do not diminish the goods of people, 181 and weigh with the straight scale, 182 "And defraud not people by reducing their things, nor do evil, making corruption and mischief in the land. 183 Fear He who created you, and the generations of the ancient' 184 They said: "You are only one of those bewitched! 185 “You are just a human like us, and indeed we consider you a liar.” 186 So cause to fall upon us fragments of the sky, if you should be of the truthful." 187 Answered [Shu'ayb]: "My Sustainer knows fully well what you are doing." 188 They rejected him and then the torment of the gloomy day struck them. It was certainly a great torment. 189 Verily herein is a sign; but most of them are not believers. 190 Your Lord is Majestic and All-merciful. 191
