The Spider (Al-Ankaboot)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ Alif Lam Mim 1 Do the people think that they will be left to say, "We believe" and they will not be tried? 2 We had tried those who were before them so that God knew who spoke the truth, and who were liars. 3 Or bethink those who work ill deeds that they shall outstrip Us? Ill do they judge! 4 For those whose hopes are in the meeting with Allah (in the Hereafter, let them strive); for the term (appointed) by Allah is surely coming and He hears and knows (all things). 5 And whosoever strives, he strives only for himself. Verily, Allah is free of all wants from the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns, and all that exists). 6 And those who accepted faith and did good deeds – We will indeed relieve their sins and reward them for the best of their deeds. 7 We have enjoined on man kindness to parents; but if they strive to make thee join with Me that of which thou hast no knowledge, then obey them not. Unto Me is your return and I shall tell you what ye used to do. 8 As for those who believed and acted righteously, We shall certainly admit them among the righteous. 9 Some profess to believe in God, but when they suffer for God's cause they mistake the persecution of man for the punishment of God. But when help comes to you from God, they will say, "We have always been with you." Is not God fully aware of what is in the hearts of all creatures? 10 And most certainly Allah will know those who believe and most certainly He will know the hypocrites. 11 The unbelievers say to the believers: “Follow our way and we will carry the burden of your sins.” (They say so even though) they are not going to carry any part of their sins. Surely they are lying. 12 They shall certainly carry their loads, and other loads along with their loads, and upon the Day of Resurrection they shall surely be questioned concerning that they were forging. 13
