Commemorate Our Servant Job. Behold he cried to his Lord: "The Evil One has afflicted me with distress and suffering!" 41 We said to him, “Strike the earth with your foot; this cool spring is for bathing and drinking.” (A spring gushed forth when he struck the earth – this was a miracle.) 42 And We granted him his family and a like [number] with them as mercy from Us and a reminder for those of understanding. 43 and, 'Take in thy hand a bundle of rushes, and strike therewith, and do not fail in thy oath.' Surely We found him a steadfast man. How excellent a servant he was! He was a penitent. 44 And remember Our bondmen Ibrahim, and Ishaq, and Yaqub – the men of power and knowledge. 45 Assuredly We purified them with a quality most pure, the remembrance of the Abode, 46 And most surely they were with Us, of the elect, the best. 47 And remember Ishmael, Elisha and Dhu'l-Kifl. Every one of them is among the best. 48 This is a Message (of admonition): and verily, for the righteous, is a beautiful Place of (Final) Return,- 49 Gardens Everlasting, whereof the portals remain opened for them. 50 They will be resting therein and will be able to ask for many kinds of fruit and drink. 51 ۞ With companions of modest look, the same in age, by their side. 52 This is what is promised you for the Day of Reckoning. 53 (It will be said to them)! Verily, this is Our Provision which will never finish; 54 All this (is for the God-fearing). But for the transgressors, an evil resort awaits them -- 55 Hell; which they shall enter; what an evil resting-place! 56 This (shall be so); so let them taste it, boiling and intensely cold (drink). 57 And other similar torments. 58 (We shall say to their leaders): 'This is a troop rushing in with you, there is no welcome for them, they shall roast in the Fire' 59 They will say: "In fact, it is you who will have no welcome. It is you who brought this upon us. What an evil place of rest!" 60 They shall say: Our Lord! whoever prepared it first for us, add Thou to him a double chastisement in the fire. 61 They will say to one another: “But why do we not see those whom we considered him among the wicked? 62 Have we taken them in mockery? Or, have our eyes swerved from them?' 63 Verily, that is the very truth, the mutual dispute of the people of the Fire! 64
