Therefor warn (men, O Muhammad). By the grace of Allah thou art neither soothsayer nor madman. 29 Or do they say: “He is a poet for whom we await an adverse turn of fortune.” 30 Say, "Wait, for indeed I am, with you, among the waiters." 31 Or, do their intellects order them to do this? Or, are they an insolent people? 32 Or do they say: "He himself has composed this [message]"? Nay, but they are not willing to believe! 33 Let them then produce a recital like unto it,- If (it be) they speak the truth! 34 Were they created out of nothing, or are they their own creators? 35 Or did they create the heavens and the earth? Rather, they are not certain. 36 Or are the Treasures of thy Lord with them, or are they the managers (of affairs)? 37 Or have they a ladder, by which they can (climb up to heaven and) listen (to its secrets)? Then let (such a) listener of theirs produce a manifest proof. 38 Does God have daughters while you have sons? 39 Or is it that you ask of them any recompense so that they should fear to be weighed down under the burden of debt? 40 Or is it that they have access to (the Truths in) the realm beyond sense-perception which they are writing down? 41 Or seek they to ensnare (the messenger)? But those who disbelieve, they are the ensnared! 42 Or have they a god other than Allah? Exalted is Allah far above the things they associate with Him! 43 Even if they saw lumps falling from heaven, they would say, 'A massed cloud!' 44 Leave them then till they meet that day of theirs wherein they shall be made to swoon (with terror): 45 The Day when their guile shall not relieve them a thing, and they shall not be helped. 46 And verily, for those who do wrong, there is another punishment besides this: But most of them understand not. 47 Await the judgement of your Lord, for you are always before Our eyes, and glorify your Lord with praises when you rise, 48 and extol His glory at night, and at the time when the stars retreat. 49
