The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the heavens and al-tariq. 1 And what could make thee conceive what it is that comes in the night? 2 (It is) the Star of piercing brightness;- 3 For every soul there is a watcher. 4 So let man consider of what he was created; 5 he has been created out of a seminal fluid 6 Proceeding from between the backbone and the ribs: 7 Verily He is Able to restore him, 8 on the Day when all secrets will be laid bare, 9 he shall have no power, and no helper. 10 By the heaven which giveth the returning rain, 11 and by the earth bursting with vegetation; 12 Indeed the Qur’an is a decisive Word. 13 And it is no joke. 14 Indeed, they are planning a plan, 15 and so am I: 16 Give respite to the disbelievers and leave them alone for a while. 17
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
