The Sun (Al-Shams)
15 verses, revealed in Mecca after Destiny (Al-Qadr) before The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By the sun and his brightness, 1 And the moon when she followeth him, 2 And the day when it revealeth him, 3 and by the night when it draws a veil over it, 4 The heavens and its architecture, 5 And the earth and Him Who extended it, 6 And a soul and Him Who perfected it 7 and how it is imbued with moral failings as well as with consciousness of God! 8 He is indeed successful who causeth it to grow, 9 And he is indeed a failure who stunteth it. 10 The Thamud denied (the truth) in their perverseness 11 When the basest of them broke forth 12 Then the apostle of Allah said unto them: beware of the she-camel of Allah and her drink. 13 But they denied him, and they hamstrung her, so Allah doomed them for their sin and rased (their dwellings). 14 And for Him is no fear of its consequences. 15
True are the words of God the Almighty.

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
