Say: My Lord! If Thou shouldst show me that which they are promised. 93 "Then, O my Lord! put me not amongst the people who do wrong!" 94 Surely We are able to show you what We warn them against. 95 Repel evil with that which is better. We know that which they describe. 96 And say: "O my Sustainer! I seek refuge with Thee from the promptings of all evil impulses; 97 and I seek refuge with Thee, O my Sustainer, lest they come near unto me!" 98 lt ceaseth not until when death cometh to one of them, and he saith: my Lord! send me back. 99 that I should do righteousness in that I forsook' No! It is only a word which he will speak. Behind them there shall stand a barrier till the Day that they shall be resurrected. 100 When the trumpet is blown, on that Day there will be no ties of relationship between them; neither will they ask about one another: 101 Then those whose scales are heavy, they are the successful. 102 but those whose scales are light shall forfeit their souls and live in Gehenna (Hell) for ever. 103 The Fire will sear their faces, and they therein will have taut smiles. 104 (They will be told), "Were Our revelations not recited to you and did you not call them lies?" 105 They shall say: O our Lord! our adversity overcame us and we were an erring people: 106 "Our Lord! Bring us out of this; if ever we return (to evil), then indeed we shall be Zalimun: (polytheists, oppressors, unjust, and wrong-doers, etc.)." 107 'Slink you into it,' He shall say, 'and do not speak to Me. 108 Lo! there was a party of My slaves who said: Our Lord! We believe, therefor forgive us and have mercy on us for Thou art Best of all who show mercy; 109 But you took them for a mockery until they made you forget My remembrance and you used to laugh at them. 110 Indeed, I have rewarded them this Day for their patient endurance - that they are the attainers [of success]." 111 And He will ask: 'How many years did you live on earth' 112 They will reply. "We remained for about a day or part of it, but ask those who have kept count". 113 He shall say, 'You have tarried but a little, did you know. 114 So do you think that We have created you needlessly, and that you do not have to return to Us? 115 Therefore exalted be Allah, the King, the Reality: there is no god but He, the Lord of the Throne of Honour! 116 And whosoever calls upon another god with God, whereof he has no proof, his reckoning is with his Lord; surely the unbelievers shall not prosper. 117 Hence, [O believer,] say: "O my Sustainer! Grant [me] forgiveness and bestow Thy mercy [upon me]: for Thou art the truest bestower of mercy!" 118
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
