The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Hallow thou the name of thine Lord, the Most High, 1 Who creates, then makes complete, 2 Who hath ordained laws. And granted guidance; 3 It is He who has caused the grass to grow, 4 And [then] makes it black stubble. 5 We shall make thee read (O Muhammad) so that thou shalt not forget 6 unless God wills it to be otherwise. He knows all that is made public and all that remains hidden. 7 We shall ease you to follow the way of Ease. 8 Remind, if the reminder can be of benefit. 9 Those who fear will understand. 10 but it will be ignored by the most unfortunate, 11 Who shall enter the great fire; 12 Wherein he shall neither die nor live, 13 To happiness [in the life to come] will indeed attain he who attains to purity [in this world,] 14 And recites the name of his Lord and serves with devotion. 15 Nay, but you prefer the present life; 16 While the Hereafter is better and more enduring. 17 Indeed this is in the former scriptures. 18 the Scriptures of Abraham and Moses. 19
