The Night (Al-Layl)
21 verses, revealed in Mecca after The All High (Al-A'alaa) before Dawn (Al-Fajr)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
CONSIDER the night as it veils [the earth] in darkness, 1 And by oath of the day when it shines 2 And by Who created the male and female, 3 That your endeavour is for different ends. 4 As for him who gives and is godfearing 5 and believes in the finest, 6 Unto him therefore We shall indeed make easy the path to ease. 7 But for those who are niggardly, horde their wealth, 8 And rejects goodness, 9 Unto him therefore We shall Indeed make easy the path to hardship. 10 And his wealth will not avail him when he perishes. 11 BEHOLD, it is indeed for Us to grace [you] with guidance; 12 And to Us belong the End and the Beginning. 13 and so I warn you of the raging fire 14 in which none shall be roasted except the most wretched sinner, 15 who denied [the truth], and turned away. 16 For, distant from it shall remain he who is truly conscious of God: 17 he that spends his possessions [on others] so that he might grow in purity 18 not as payment for any favours that he received, 19 but only to seek the good pleasure of his Lord Most High. 20 And presently he shall become well pleased. 21
God Almighty has spoken the truth.

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
