The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful

Woe unto every slanderer, traducer, 1 [Woe unto him who amasses wealth and counts it a safeguard, 2 Thinking that his wealth would make him last for ever! 3 Never! He will certainly be thrown into the Crushing One. 4 Ah, what will convey unto thee what the Consuming One is! 5 It is the fire kindled by Allah, 6 Which mounteth up to the hearts. 7 It shall be made into a vault over them, 8 In pillars stretched forth. 9

True are the words of God the Almighty.
