And verily, the dwellers of Al-Hijr (the rocky tract) denied the Messengers. 80 We brought them Our signs, and they turned away from them. 81 They would carve secure houses out of the mountains. 82 But they were seized by the mighty blast towards the morning; 83 and of no avail to them was all [the power] that they had acquired. 84 We have not created but with reason the heavens and the earth and all that lies within them. The Hour (of the great change) is certain to come. So turn away (from them) with a grace. 85 Verily, your Lord is the All-Knowing Creator. 86 We have indeed given you the seven oft-repeated (examples), and the majestic Qur'an. 87 Do not extend your eyes toward that by which We have given enjoyment to [certain] categories of the disbelievers, and do not grieve over them. And lower your wing to the believers 88 And say thou: verily I! I am a plain warner. 89 Just as We had revealed [scriptures] to the separators 90 Those who made the Quran into shreds. 91 So, by your Lord, We would most certainly question them all, 92 For all their deeds. 93 Therefore proclaim openly (Allah's Message Islamic Monotheism) that which you are commanded, and turn away from Al-Mushrikun (polytheists, idolaters, and disbelievers, etc. - see V. 2:105). 94 Surely We suffice to deal with those who scoff at you, 95 Those who adopt, with Allah, another god: but soon will they come to know. 96 Indeed, We know that your breast is straitened at what they say. 97 But celebrate the praises of thy Lord, and be of those who prostrate themselves in adoration. 98 and serve thy Lord, until the Certain comes to thee. 99
