Al-Aadeyaat
The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By the snorting chargers, 1 then raise sparks of fire (by their hoofs), 2 Then those that make raids at morn, 3 blazing a trail of dust, 4 Then rush thereby upon an assembly: 5 Surely Man is ungrateful to his Lord, 6 and he himself is a witness to that, 7 He certainly has a strong love for wealth and riches. 8 ۞ Does he not know when the contents of the graves are laid bare 9 And that which is (locked up) in (human) breasts is made manifest- 10 That their Lord had been Well-acquainted with them, (even to) that Day? 11
