۞ "Bring ye up", it shall be said, "The wrong-doers and their wives, and the things they worshipped- 22 "Besides Allah, and lead them to the Way to the (Fierce) Fire! 23 “And stop them they are to be questioned.” 24 They will be asked, "Why do you not help each other?" 25 Nay! on that day they shall be submissive. 26 And they will approach one another blaming each other. 27 "It was you who tried to mislead us from righteousness". 28 They will say, "No! It was you who would not believe -- 29 “And we did not have any control over you; but in fact you yourselves were rebellious.” 30 But now our Lord's word has come true against us: truly, we are bound to taste [the punishment]. 31 So we led you astray; we ourselves were strayed.” 32 So indeed they, that Day, will be sharing in the punishment. 33 Certainly, that is how We deal with Al-Mujrimun (polytheists, sinners, criminals, the disobedient to Allah, etc.). 34 for when it was said to them, 'There is no god but God,' they were ever waxing proud, 35 and said: “Shall we forsake our deities for the sake of a distracted poet?” 36 Nay, but he brought the Truth, and he confirmed those sent (before him). 37 Indeed, you [disbelievers] will be tasters of the painful punishment, 38 And you will not be recompensed except for what you used to do - 39 But the sincere servants of God 40 For them is a known sustenance, 41 Fruits of every kind, and they will be honoured 42 In the Gardens of delight, 43 (Sitting) on couches, face to face, 44 With cups from a flowing stream being passed around, 45 clear, delightful to those who drink it: 46 Neither does it intoxicate, nor give a headache. 47 And with them are those who do not set gaze upon men except their husbands, the maidens with gorgeous eyes. 48 like closely guarded pearls. 49 They will go to one another asking each other questions. 50 one of them will say, "I had a friend, 51 who would say: "Are you among the believers (of the resurrection)? 52 When we are dead and have become dust and bones, are we indeed going to be requited? 53 Do you want to see him?' " 54 Then looketh he and seeth him in the depth of hell. 55 He said, “By Allah, you had nearly ruined me!” 56 And had it not been for the favour of my Lord, I too had been of those haled forth (to doom). 57 He will ask his companion, "Did you not say that there would only be one death 58 "Except our first death, and we shall not be punished? (after we have entered Paradise)." 59 Indeed, this is the great attainment. 60 For this the toilers should strive." 61 Is Paradise a better accommodation or the tree of zaqqum? 62 which We have made as a test for the wrongdoers. 63 It is a tree that grows at the bottom of Hell. 64 its spathes are as the heads of Satans, 65 So indeed they will eat from it, and fill their bellies with it. 66 Then most surely they shall have after it to drink of a mixture prepared in boiling water. 67 Then surely their return is towards hell. 68 They found their fathers erring, 69 and rushed to follow them. 70 And verily most of the men of old went astray before them, 71 And We had sent admonishers to them. 72 Then see what was the end of those who were warned (but heeded not). 73 But not the chosen servants of Allah. 74
