Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By those [winds] sent forth in gusts 1 By the raging hurricanes, 2 Then by oath of those that lift and carry. 3 then winnow them thoroughly, 4 and then cast (Allah's) remembrance (in people's hearts), 5 By way of excuse or warning. 6 Surely that which ye are promised will befall. 7 Then the stars will lose their light. 8 Heavens will rent asunder. 9 and the mountains scattered, 10 The Messengers will receive their appointments. 11 For what Day was it postponed? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 And what shall teach thee what is the Day of Decision? 14 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 15 Destroyed We not the former folk, 16 So shall We make later generations to follow them. 17 Thus do We deal with men of sin. 18 On that day, woe upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 19 Did We not create you of a mean water, 20 which We then let remain in [the womb's] firm keeping 21 Till a limit known? 22 We determined; excellent determiners are We. 23 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 24 Have We not made the earth a repository 25 For the living and the dead among you? 26 And made therein lofty mountains, and given you to drink of sweet water? 27 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 28 Proceed to that which you denied. 29 "Depart ye to a Shadow (of smoke ascending) in three columns, 30 "Neither shading, nor of any use against the fierce flame of the Fire." 31 Indeed, it throws sparks [as huge] as a fortress, 32 As if they were Jimalatun Sufr (yellow camels or bundles of ropes)." 33 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 34 This is the Day they shall not speak, 35 And they will not be permitted to put forth any excuse. 36 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 37 This is the Day of Judgement; We will have assembled you and the former peoples. 38 So if you have any plot to devise against Me, then devise it. 39 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 40
