The Companions of the Wood rejected the messengers. 176 What time Shu'aib said unto them: fear ye not? 177 "I am a trustworthy Messenger to you. 178 so fear God, and obey me. 179 “And I do not ask from you any fee for it; my reward is only upon the Lord Of The Creation.” 180 ۞ "Give just measure, and cause no loss (to others by fraud). 181 And weigh with an even balance. 182 And do not withhold from people what belongs to them, and do not corrupt the land; 183 "And fear Him Who created you and the generations of the men of old." 184 They said: "You are only one of those bewitched! 185 and a mere mortal like us. We think you are a liar. 186 Drop down on us lumps from heaven, if you are one of the truthful' 187 He said: My Lord is Best Aware of what ye do. 188 But they cried him lies; then there seized them the chastisement of the Day of Shadow; assuredly it was the chastisement of a dreadful day. 189 Surely, in this is indeed a sign; but most of them would not believe: 190 And lo! thy Lord! He is indeed the Mighty, the Merciful. 191
