And on the day when the enemies of Allah are herded towards the fire, the earlier groups will be restrained till the latter join them. 19 until (on the brink of it) their eyes, ears and skin will testify to their deeds on the Day when the enemies of God are driven to the fire. 20 And they say unto their skins: Why testify ye against us? They say: Allah hath given us speech Who giveth speech to all things, and Who created you at the first, and unto Whom ye are returned. 21 And where could you hide from Him, so that your ears and your eyes and your skins may not testify against you? But you had assumed that Allah does not know most of your deeds! 22 And this is the assumption you had regarding your Lord, which has ruined you, so you are now among those who have been defeated. 23 Even if they are patient, their abode is Hell; and if they beg for favour, none will favour them. 24 ۞ We had assigned to them companions who embellished for them all that was before them and behind them. Thus the same decree (of chastisement) which had overtaken the previous generations of jinn and human beings (also) became due against them. Surely they became the losers. 25
