We swear that We have created the human being and We know what his soul whispers to him. We are closer to him than even his jugular vein. 16 When the two receivers receive, seated on the right and on the left. 17 He does not utter a single word, without a ready recorder seated next to him. 18 And the stupor of death will come in truth: this is that which thou hast been shunning. 19 And the Horn will be blown. That is the Day of [carrying out] the threat. 20 Every soul will be accompanied (by an angel) behind him and another as a witness. 21 [It will be said], "You were certainly in unmindfulness of this, and We have removed from you your cover, so your sight, this Day, is sharp." 22 And his comrade shall say, 'This is what I have, made ready.' 23 [Allah will say], "Throw into Hell every obstinate disbeliever, 24 “The one who excessively prevented from virtue, the transgressor, the doubtful.” 25 and has set up another deity with Allah. Hurl him into the grievous torment.” 26 ۞ His companion will say: Our Lord! I did not lead him into inordinacy but he himself was in a great error. 27 He will say, “Do not dispute before Me – I had already warned you of the punishment.” 28 The judgment passed by Me shall not be altered; but never do I do the least wrong unto My creatures!" 29
