Believers, fear God as is His due, and when death comes, be in a state of complete submission to Him. 102 Hold on firmly together to the rope of God, and be not divided among yourselves, and remember the favours God bestowed on you when you were one another's foe and He reconciled your hearts, and you turned into brethren through His grace. You had stood on the edge of a pit of fire and He saved you from it, thus revealing to you His clear signs that you may find the right way perchance. 103 And there should be a group among you that invites to goodness, and enjoins good deeds and forbids immorality; it is they who are the successful. 104 Be not as those who scattered and fell into variance after the clear signs came to them; those there awaits a mighty chastisement, 105 On the Day when some faces are bright and some faces are dark, it will be said to those with darkened faces, "Did you reject faith after accepting it? Taste, then, this punishment for having denied the truth!" 106 But as for those with faces shining, they shall be within God's grace, therein to abide. 107 Such are the verses of Allah, We recite them to you with truth. Allah does not want injustice for the worlds. 108 To Allah belongs all that is in the heavens and the earth, and to Allah are all matters referred for decision. 109
