The News (Al-Naba')
40 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Heights (Al-Ma'aarej) before The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ About what are they asking one another? 1 About the great news, (i.e. Islamic Monotheism, the Quran, which Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him) brought and the Day of Resurrection, etc.), 2 Concerning which they differ. 3 Indeed, they shall know! 4 Again, indeed, they shall know! 5 HAVE WE NOT made the earth a resting-place [for you,] 6 And the mountains as stakes? 7 We created you in pairs, 8 and We made your sleep a rest, 9 The night a covering, 10 and We appointed day for a livelihood. 11 Have We not made seven strong heavens above you, 12 and We have set therein a glowing lamp. 13 and sent down heavy rains from the clouds 14 That We may produce therewith corn and vegetables, 15 And gardens dense and luxuriant. 16 Indeed, the Day of Judgement is an appointed time - 17 The Day the Horn is blown and you will come forth in multitudes 18 and when the sky shall be opened up and will become all doors; 19 And the mountains are removed and will be [but] a mirage. 20 Surely hell lies in wait, 21 A place of resort for the inordinate, 22 Living therein for ages. 23 They will not taste therein cool or any drink. 24 only burning despair and ice-cold darkness: 25 Reward proportioned (to their evil deeds). 26 For indeed they did not look forward to any reckoning, 27 and they rejected outright Our signs; 28 However, We have recorded everything in a book. 29 Therefore taste it now We shall not increase anything for you except the punishment. 30

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
