۞ And those who look not for a meeting with Us say: Why are angels not sent down unto us and (Why) do we not see our Lord! Assuredly they think too highly of themselves and are scornful with great pride. 21 The Day, when they will see the angels, will not be a day of rejoicing for the criminals; they will cry out, "May Allah save us!" 22 And We turned all the deeds they had performed into scattered floating specks of dust. 23 The dwellers of the garden shall on that day be in a better abiding-place and a better resting-place. 24 Upon the day that heaven is split asunder with the clouds and the angels are sent down in majesty, 25 The dominion on that Day shall be the true dominion of the Compassionate, and it shall be a day upon the infidels hard. 26 It will be a hard day for the unbelievers. It will be a day when the unjust will bite their fingers, (regretfully) saying, "Would that we had followed the path of the Messengers. 27 “Woe to me – alas, if only I had not taken that one for a friend.” 28 He led me astray from the Warning after it had come to me. Satan always betrays man. 29 AND [on that Day] the Apostle will say: "O my Sustainer! Behold, [some of] my people have come to regard this Qur'an as something [that ought to be] discarded!" 30 Even so We have appointed to every Prophet an enemy among the sinners; but thy Lord suffices as a guide and as a helper. 31 Now they who are bent on denying the truth are wont to ask. "Why has not the Qur'an been bestowed on him from on high in one single revelation?" [it has been revealed] in this manner so that We might strengthen thy heart thereby - for We have so arranged its component parts that they form one consistent whole 32 They do not bring to you any parable but that which We bring to you is the truth and better in explanation. 33 Those who will be gathered to Hell (prone) on their faces,- they will be in an evil plight, and, as to Path, most astray. 34
