3/4 Hizb 45
< random >
And assuredly Nuh cried unto us; and We are the Best of answerers! 75 And We rescued him and his household from the great calamity. 76 and We made his offspring the only survivors. 77 And We kept his praise among the latter generations. 78 Peace be with Noah among all men in the worlds. 79 This is how We reward the virtuous. 80 Surely he was one of Our truly believing servants. 81 Then We drowned the others. 82 ۞ And, verily, among those who followed his [Nuh's (Noah)] way (Islamic Monotheism) was Ibrahim (Abraham). 83 When he came to his Lord, with a sound heart. (Free from falsehood). 84 [And] when he said to his father and his people, "What do you worship? 85 Would you serve false deities instead of God? 86 "Then what is your idea about the Lord of the worlds?" 87 Then did he cast a glance at the Stars. 88 and said: 'Surely, I am sick (of what you worship)' 89 So they departed from him turning their backs. 90 Then he slipped unto their gods and said: eat ye not? 91 What is [wrong] with you that you do not speak?" 92 And then he fell upon them, smiting them with his right hand. 93 whereupon people came to him running. 94 He said, "Do you worship that which you [yourselves] carve, 95 And Allah has created you and what you make. 96 They said, 'Build him a building, and cast him into the furnace!' 97 (This failing), they then sought a stratagem against him, but We made them the ones most humiliated! 98 He said, "I will go to my Lord: He is sure to guide me. 99 My Lord! grant me of the doers of good deeds. 100 whereupon We gave him the glad tiding of a boy-child gentle [like himself]? 101 and when he had reached the age of running with him, he said, 'My son, I see in a dream that I shall sacrifice thee; consider, what thinkest thou?' He said, 'My father, do as thou art bidden; thou shalt find me, God willing, one of the steadfast.' 102 But as soon as the two had surrendered themselves to [what they thought to be] the will of God, and [Abraham] had laid him down on his face, 103 We called unto him, 'Abraham, 104 You have fulfilled your dream." Thus do We reward the good. 105 Lo! that verily was a clear test. 106 And We ransomed him with a momentous sacrifice: 107 and left him thus to be succeeded by a group [of followers] among later generations: 108 'Peace be upon Abraham!' 109 As such We recompense the gooddoers. 110 Verily he was one of Our believing bondmen. 111 And We gave him good tidings of Isaac, a prophet from among the righteous. 112 And We blessed him and Isaac. And of their seed are some who do good, and some who plainly wrong themselves. 113
