And remember Our servant Job, when he called to his Lord, "Indeed, Satan has touched me with hardship and torment." 41 [So he was told], "Strike [the ground] with your foot; this is a [spring for] a cool bath and drink." 42 And We granted him his family and a like [number] with them as mercy from Us and a reminder for those of understanding. 43 "And take in thy hand a little grass, and strike therewith: and break not (thy oath)." Truly We found him full of patience and constancy. How excellent in Our service! ever did he turn (to Us)! 44 AND CALL to mind Our servants Abraham and Isaac and Jacob, [all of them] endowed with inner strength and vision: 45 Indeed, We purified them with a most pure quality, the remembrance of the Everlasting Life. 46 Lo! in Our sight they are verily of the elect, the excellent. 47 And remember Isma'il (Ishmael), Al-Yasa'a (Elisha), and Dhul-Kifl (Isaiah), all are among the best. 48 This is a Reminder. The righteous shall have a good place to return to: 49 the Gardens of Eden whose gates shall be open to them, 50 wherein they shall recline, wherein they shall ask for abundant fruit and drinks, 51 ۞ They will have bashful wives of equal age with them. 52 This is the promise being given to you, for the Day of Reckoning. 53 This is Our provision for you, never to end. 54 All this [for the righteous]: but, verily, the most evil of all goals awaits those who are wont to transgress the bounds of what is right: 55 Hell; which they shall enter; what an evil resting-place! 56 This - let them taste it: scalding water and corruption. 57 And other torments of similar kind, all together! 58 (Observing their followers advancing to Hell they will say, among themselves: “This is a troop rushing in to you. There is no welcome for them. They are destined to roast in the Fire.” 59 Their followers will say, "In fact, it is you who deserve condemnation. It was you who led us to hell, a terrible dwelling". 60 They will say: our Lord! whosever hath brought this upon us, unto him increase doubly the torment of the Fire. 61 And they will say, "How is it that we do not see [here any of the] men whom we used to count among the wicked, 62 Is it that we mistakenly made fun of them; or have they disappeared from our sight?” 63 Verily all this is true. This is how the inmates of the Fire will dispute among themselves. 64
