Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
40 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Shocker (Al-Qaare'ah) before The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ I CALL TO WITNESS the Day of Resurrection, 1 And I swear by the reproaching soul [to the certainty of resurrection]. 2 Does man assume that We will never assemble his bones? 3 Surely We are able to reform even his finger-tips. 4 Nay! (Man denies Resurrection and Reckoning. So) he desires to continue committing sins. 5 he asks, "When is this Day of Resurrection to be?" 6 But [on that Day], when mortal sight is confounded, 7 And the moon becomes dark, 8 and the sun and the moon are brought together, 9 on that Day will man say: “Whither the refuge?” 10 No! There is no refuge. 11 With your Lord alone shall on that day be the place of rest. 12 On that Day man will be informed of what he sent forward (of his evil or good deeds), and what he left behind (of his good or evil traditions). 13 Oh, but man is a telling witness against himself, 14 Even if he presents his excuses. 15 Do not move your tongue with it to make haste with it, 16 We shall be responsible for its collection and its recitation. 17 When We have recited it, follow its words attentively; 18 and then, it will be for Us to make its meaning clear. 19 Nay, (ye men!) but ye love the fleeting life, 20 and leave be the Hereafter. 21 Some faces, that Day, will beam (in brightness and beauty);- 22 Looking to their Lord. 23 And [some] faces, that Day, will be contorted, 24 Thinking that some calamity was about to fall on them; 25 Yes indeed, when the soul will reach up to the throat. 26 And they will say, “Is there any one any magician?” 27 and he thinks that it is the parting 28 when his legs are brought together [when affliction is combined with affliction]; 29 on that Day he will be driven towards your Lord! 30

Notes and Instructions
There are memorization exercises for the original Arabic and English transliterated Arabic modes only. The English translation mode has no memorization exercises.
When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
