The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
22 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Sun (Al-Shams) before The Fig (Al-Teen)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
By heaven of the constellations, 1 and [then bethink thyself of] the promised Day, 2 And by the witness and that whereunto he beareth testimony, 3 Accursed be the People of the Ditch! 4 [Containing] the fire full of fuel, 5 When they were sitting at its edge. 6 to watch what they were doing to the believers, 7 They had nothing against them, except that they believed in Allah, the All-Mighty, Worthy of all Praise! 8 to whom belongs the Kingdom of the heavens and earth. And Allah is the Witness of all things. 9 Those who persecuted the believing men and women and never repented, there is for them the punishment of Gehenna (Hell), and for them the punishment of the burning. 10 As for those who believed and acted righteously, theirs shall be Gardens beneath which rivers flow. That is the great triumph. 11 Indeed, the vengeance of your Lord is severe. 12 It is He who originates and repeats. 13 and He is the Forgiving and Loving One. 14 The Lord of the glorious Throne, 15 and the Most Effective in His decision. 16 Has the story of the armies reached you, 17 Pharaoh and Thamood? 18 Yet those who deny the truth persist in denial. 19 and God is behind them, encompassing. 20 Nay; but this is a glorious Qur'an, 21 [Inscribed] in a Preserved Slate. 22
True are the words of God the Almighty.
