(vii) Do not kill your children for fear of want. We will provide for them and for you. Surely killing them is a great sin. 31 Nor come nigh to adultery: for it is a shameful (deed) and an evil, opening the road (to other evils). 32 (ix) Do not kill any person whom Allah has forbidden to kill, except with right. We have granted the heir of him who has been wrongfully killed the authority to (claim retribution); so let him not exceed in slaying. He shall be helped. 33 Come not nigh to the orphan's property except to improve it, until he attains the age of full strength; and fulfil (every) engagement, for (every) engagement will be enquired into (on the Day of Reckoning). 34 Fill the measure when ye measure, and weigh with a right balance; that is meet, and better in the end. 35 Do not follow that of which you have no knowledge. Verily the ear, the eye, the heart, each will be questioned. 36 And do not walk upon the earth exultantly. Indeed, you will never tear the earth [apart], and you will never reach the mountains in height. 37 All that is evil in the sight of your Lord, and is detestable. 38 That is of the wisdom your Lord has revealed to you. Do not set up with Allah another god, or you will be cast into Gehenna, condemned and rejected. 39 Then, has your Lord chosen you for [having] sons and taken from among the angels daughters? Indeed, you say a grave saying. 40
