Man is prone to say: "Shall I be raised to life after I die?" 66 Does not man remember that We created him before, when he was nothing? 67 So, by thy Lord, without doubt, We shall gather them together, and (also) the Evil Ones (with them); then shall We bring them forth on their knees round about Hell; 68 We shall then pick out from every group the one who was most arrogant towards the Most Gracious. 69 We know best who deserves greater suffering in hell fire. 70 There is not one of you but shall pass by Hell. This is a decree which your Lord will fulfil. 71 We will save the pious ones from the hell fire and leave the unjust people therein in crowded groups. 72 When Our clear revelations are recited to those who deny the Truth they are wont to say to those who have faith: "Which of the two groups has a better status and whose assemblies are grander?" 73 How many generations that had far more wealth and ostentation have We laid low before them! 74 Say: "The Most Compassionate Lord grants respite to those who stray into error, until they behold what they had been threatened with, either God's chastisement (in the world) or the Hour (of Resurrection)" - then they fully know whose station is worse, and who is weaker in hosts! 75 And God endows those who avail themselves of [His] guidance with an ever-deeper consciousness of the right way; and good deeds, the fruit whereof endures forever, are, in thy Sustainer's sight, of far greater merit [than any worldly goods,] and yield far better returns. 76 Hast thou seen him who disbelieves in Our signs and says, 'Assuredly I shall be given wealth and children'? 77 Has he looked into the unseen, or has he taken from the Most Merciful a promise? 78 No, indeed! We shall assuredly write down all that he says, and We shall prolong for him the chastisement; 79 We shall inherit that of which he speaks and he will come before Us alone. 80 And they have chosen (other) gods beside Allah that they may be a power for them. 81 But they shall reject their worship and turn against them. 82
