The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
By the heaven, holding mansions of the stars, 1 and by the promised Day, 2 By one that witnesses, and the subject of the witness;- 3 destroyed were the people of the trench, 4 The people of the fuelled blazing fire. 5 When they were sitting near it 6 And they themselves are witnesses to what they were doing to the Muslims! 7 whom they hated for no other reason than that they believed in God, the Almighty, the Praiseworthy, 8 Him to Whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth! And Allah is Witness to all things. 9 Surely (as for) those who persecute the believing men and the believing women, then do not repent, they shall have the chastisement of hell, and they shall have the chastisement of burning. 10 (But) for those who believe and do good works, for them there are Gardens underneath which rivers flow that is the Great Victory! 11 Indeed, the vengeance of your Lord is severe. 12 Verily, He it is Who begins (punishment) and repeats (punishment in the Hereafter) (or originates the creation of everything, and then repeats it on the Day of Resurrection). 13 He is the All-forgiving, the Most Loving One, 14 Lord of the Throne, the All-glorious, 15 and the Most Effective in His decision. 16 Has it come to you the story of the hosts 17 Of the Fir'awn and the Thamud? 18 In fact, the disbelievers had always rejected (Our revelations). 19 Whereas Allah is, from behind them, Encompassing. 20 In fact it (what they deny) is the Noble Qur’an. 21 [Inscribed] in a Preserved Slate. 22
