WITH ALL THIS, man [often] says, "What! Once I am dead, shall I again be brought forth alive?" 66 Doth not man remember that We created him before, when he was naught? 67 And, by thy Lord, verily We shall assemble them and the devils, then We shall bring them, crouching, around hell. 68 Then shall We certainly drag out from every sect all those who were worst in obstinate rebellion against (Allah) Most Gracious. 69 And certainly We know best those who are most worthy of being burned therein. 70 It is the inevitable decree of your Lord that every one of you will be taken to hell. 71 Then We shall deliver those who have feared, and shall have the wrong-doers therein kneeling. 72 When Our revelations are recited to them, the unbelievers say to the faithful ones, "Which of us is more prosperous?" 73 How numerous are the peoples We destroyed before them - those that were more resourceful and grander in outward appearance! 74 Say thou: whosoever is in error - surely unto him the Compassionate lengtheneth a length, until when they behold that wherewith they were threatened, either the torment or the Hour, then they shall come to know whosoever is worse in position and weaker as an army. 75 God increases His guidance to those who follow guidance; and lasting good works are better in the sight of your Lord and are most rewarding. 76 Hast thou seen him who disbelieveth in Our revelations and saith: Assuredly I shall be given wealth and children? 77 Has he looked to the unseen, or has he made a pledge to the Merciful One? 78 Nay! We shall record what he says, and We shall increase his torment (in the Hell); 79 All that he claims will revert to Us, and he will come before Us all alone. 80 And they have taken gods besides Allah, that they should be to them a source of strength; 81 In fact, they can have no honor; their gods will renounce their worship of idols and will turn against them. 82
