Hizb 46

So also was Jonah among those sent (by Us). 139 When he ran away to a ship completely laden, 140 So he shared (with them), but was of those who are cast off. 141 Then the fish swallowed him, while he was blameworthy. 142 And were he not one of those who praise. 143 he would certainly have remained inside the fish until the Day of Resurrection. 144 ۞ But We threw him onto the open shore while he was ill. 145 And We caused a tree of gourd to grow above him; 146 And [then] We sent him [once again] to [his people,] a hundred thousand [souls] or more: 147 and [this time] they believed [in him] and so We allowed them to enjoy their life during the time allotted to them? 148 Then ask them whether your Lord has daughters and they have sons. 149 or is it that We have created the angels female, and they [who believe them to be divine] have witnessed [that act of creation]? 150 Oh, verily, it is out of their own [inclination to] falsehood that some people assert, 151 "God has begotten (children)?" They are liars indeed! 152 Hath He chosen daughters above sons? 153 Woe to you! How terrible is your Judgment. 154 Will ye not then receive admonition? 155 Or have you received some clear authority? 156 Then bring your book, if you are truthful. 157 And they have claimed between Him and the jinn a lineage, but the jinn have already known that they [who made such claims] will be brought to [punishment]. 158 Exaltations to Allah above what they describe, 159 Save single-minded slaves of Allah. 160 For, verily, neither ye nor those ye worship- 161 you shall not tempt any against Him 162 except for he who shall roast in Hell. 163 [The angels say], "There is not among us any except that he has a known position. 164 and, verily, we too are ranged [before Him in worship]; 165 and we glorify God". 166 And indeed they used to say: 167 "If only we had a tradition [to this effect] from our forebears, 168 we would have been sincere worshipers of Allah' 169 They therefore denied it, so they will soon come to know. 170 Already has Our Word been passed before (this) to our Servants sent (by Us), 171 assuredly they shall be helped, 172 And that Our hosts, they verily would be the victors. 173 So you ignore them for a time 174 And wait; they will come to know soon. 175 Then for Our punishment are they impatient? 176 But when it cometh home to them, then it will be a hapless morn for those who have been warned. 177 And turn thou aside from them for a season. 178 And (then) see, for they too shall see. 179 Glorified be your Lord, the Lord of Honour and Power! (He is free) from what they attribute unto Him! 180 And peace be upon all His message-bearers! 181 And all the praise and thanks be to Allah, Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists). 182
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
