Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the dipersing winds that disperse. 1 then the bearers of weight (the clouds), 2 Then by oath of those which move with ease. 3 and those that apportion [the gift of life] at [God's] behest! 4 Indeed, what you are promised is true. 5 And verily Judgment and Justice must indeed come to pass. 6 By the heaven with its numerous forms: 7 You are indeed in different opinions regarding this Qur’an. 8 From which only he turns who is turned away. 9 Perish the conjecturers 10 Those who are in heedlessness neglectful. 11 asking, 'When shall be the Day of Doom?' 12 It will be the Day whereon in the Fire they will be burned 13 "Taste you your trial (burning)! This is what you used to ask to be hastened!" 14 Surely those who guard (against evil) shall be in gardens and fountains. 15 receiving their reward from their Lord. They had been righteous people before the Day of Judgment. 16 They were in the habit of sleeping but little by night, 17 And ere the dawning of each day would seek forgiveness, 18 And in their wealth the beggar and the outcast had due share. 19 And in the earth there are signs for those who are sure, 20 and in your selves; what, do you not see? 21 And in heaven is your provision, and that you are promised. 22 This, by the Lord of the heavens and the earth is as certain as your ability to speak. 23
