Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the emissary winds, (sent) one after another 1 Then by oath of those that push with a strong gust. 2 By those which cause earth's vegetation to revive; 3 And those that distinguish distinctly, 4 By those who bring down the Reminder, 5 To clear or to warn. 6 Indeed, what you are promised is to occur. 7 When the stars are obliterated, 8 Heavens will rent asunder. 9 The mountains reduced to dust and blown away, 10 And when the apostles are gathered at their appointed time 11 to what day shall they be delayed? 12 The Day of Judgement. 13 And what will explain to thee what is the Day of Sorting out? 14 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 15 Did We not destroy the men of old (for their evil)? 16 and let the latter follow them? 17 Thus do We deal with the sinful ones. 18 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 19 Have We not created you from a fluid (held) despicable?- 20 which We placed within a sure lodging 21 for an appointed time? 22 So We proportion it-- how well are We at proportioning (things). 23 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 24 Did We not make the earth as a gathering place 25 Both for the living and the dead, 26 place on it high mountains and provide you with fresh water? 27 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 28 'Depart unto that which ye were wont to belie. 29 Proceed to that shadow, rising in three columns 30 which neither gives shade nor protects one from the flames. 31 Indeed, it throws sparks [as huge] as a fortress, 32 So like golden camels." 33 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 34 On that day they will not be able to speak, 35 nor be allowed to proffer excuses! 36 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 37 This is the day of decision: We have gathered you and those of yore. 38 if you have a trick, try you now to trick Me!' 39 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 40
