Al-Taareq

The Comet (Al-Taareq)

17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)

In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful

By the heaven and the night-comer 1 And what shall teach thee what is the night-star? 2 - The piercing Star! 3 [for] no human being has been left unguarded. 4 Let the human being reflect that from what he has been created. 5 Created from a gushing fluid. 6 Proceeding from between the backbone and the ribs: 7 Verily He is Able to restore him, 8 On the day when hidden things shall be made manifest, 9 he shall have no power, and no helper. 10 By the rotating heavens 11 and by the earth ever bursting with verdure, 12 Behold this is the Word that distinguishes (Good from Evil): 13 It is not a thing for amusement. 14 They are cunningly devising, 15 But I too am devising a plan. 16 So bear with unbelievers with patience, and give them respite for a while. 17

God Almighty has spoken the truth.
