Al-Aadeyaat
The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By oath of those that sprint, breathing heavily. (The horses used in Holy War.) 1 by the strikers of fire, 2 as they gallop to make raids at dawn, 3 blazing a trail of dust, 4 Then rush thereby upon an assembly: 5 Indeed mankind, to his Lord, is ungrateful. 6 And verily to that he is witness. 7 And violent is he in his love of wealth. 8 ۞ So does he not know? When those in the graves are raised, 9 and all that is [hidden] in men's hearts is bared 10 That their Lord had been Well-acquainted with them, (even to) that Day? 11
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
