The Embryo (Al-Alaq)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
Read! In the name of your Lord, who created: 1 He created man from a clot of blood. 2 Read: And thy Lord is the Most Bounteous, 3 Who has taught (the writing) by the pen [the first person to write was Prophet Idrees (Enoch)]. 4 Taught man that which he knew not. 5 Yes indeed, man is surely rebellious. 6 That he thinketh himself independent! 7 for, behold, unto thy Sustainer all must return. 8 Bethinkest thou him who forbiddeth, 9 A votary when he (turns) to pray? 10 What will happen if the praying person is rightly guided 11 Or had enjoined piety, (it would have been better)? 12 Have you thought that if he denies and turns away, 13 Knoweth he not that Allah doth see? 14 Nay! If he (Abu Jahl) ceases not, We will catch him by the forelock, 15 A lying, sinful forehead. 16 So let him call his associates, 17 We also shall call the infernal guards. 18 Beware! Do not obey him, but bow in adoration and draw near (to your Lord). ۩ 19
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
