A 'araaf (Al-A 'araaf)
206 verses, revealed in Mecca after S (Saad) before Jinns (Al-Jinn)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ Alif Lam Mim Sad. 1 This is a Book sent down toward thee, so let there be no straitness in thy breast therefor, that thou mayest warn thereby! and this is an admonition unto the believers. 2 Follow what has been sent down to you by your Lord and do not follow any protector other than Him. How seldom you take heed. 3 And how many a [rebellious] community have We destroyed, with Our punishment coming upon it by night, or while they were resting at noontide! 4 And when Our punishment overtook them they had nothing to say except crying out: "We have indeed been sinners." 5 Then surely, We shall question those (people) to whom it (the Book) was sent and verily, We shall question the Messengers. 6 Then most certainly We will relate to them with knowledge, and We were not absent. 7 The balance that day will be true (to nicety): those whose scale (of good) will be heavy, will prosper: 8 whereas those whose weight is light in the balance - it is they who will have squandered their own selves by their wilful rejection of Our messages. 9 It is We Who have placed you with authority on earth, and provided you therein with means for the fulfilment of your life: small are the thanks that ye give! 10

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
