Behold, thy Lord called Moses: "Go to the people of iniquity,- 10 “The nation of Firaun; will they not fear?” 11 : He said: "O Lord, I fear that they will deny me. 12 and my breast will be straitened, and my tongue will not be loosed; so send to Aaron. 13 "And they have a charge of crime against me, and I fear they will kill me." 14 [Allah] said, "No. Go both of you with Our signs; indeed, We are with you, listening. 15 And go, both of you, unto Pharaoh and say, 'Behold, we bear a message from the Sustainer of all the worlds: 16 Send with us the Children of Isra'il? 17 He said, 'Did we not raise thee amongst us as a child? Didst thou not tarry among us years of thy life? 18 And [then] you did your deed which you did, and you were of the ungrateful." 19 Moses said: "I did it then, when I was in error. 20 Then I fled for fear of you. Then my Lord bestowed wisdom and authority on me and made me one of the Messengers. 21 But the favour you oblige me with is that you have enslaved the children of Israel." 22 Pharaoh said: And what is the Lord of the Worlds? 23 Moses answered: "The Lord of the heavens and the earth and of all that is between them, if you were only to believe." 24 (The Pharaoh) said to those around him: "Do you hear?" 25 He said: Your Lord and the Lord of your fathers of old. 26 Said Firaun, “This (Noble) Messenger of yours, who has been sent towards you, has no intelligence!” 27 Moses continued, "He is the Lord of the East and West and all that is between them, if only you would think". 28 Fir'aun (Pharaoh) said: "If you choose an ilah (god) other than me, I will certainly put you among the prisoners." 29 Moses said: "Even if I were to bring a Clear Sign to you?" 30 (Pharaoh) said: "Show it then, if thou tellest the truth!" 31 So Moosa put down his staff and it became a visible serpent. 32 And he drew forth his hand, and lo, it was white to the beholders. 33
