And We have not created the heaven and the earth and all that is between them without purpose; this is what the disbelievers assume; therefore ruin is for the disbelievers, by the fire. 27 Shall We treat those who believe and work deeds of righteousness, the same as those who do mischief on earth? Shall We treat those who guard against evil, the same as those who turn aside from the right? 28 (This is) a Scripture that We have revealed unto thee, full of blessing, that they may ponder its revelations, and that men of understanding may reflect. 29 We bestowed Solomon on David who was an excellent devotee, for he turned to God in penitence. 30 When there were shown to him at eventide lightfooted coursers 31 he said, "I have put the love of good things above the remembrance of my Lord," until [the sun] disappeared behind its veil and the horses disappeared from sight, 32 Bring them back to me; so he began to slash (their) legs and necks. 33 And assuredly We tried Sulaiman, and set upon his throne a mere body. Thereafter he was penitent. 34 He said, “My Lord! Forgive me and bestow upon me a kingdom, which shall not befit anyone after me; indeed only You are the Great Bestower.” 35 Then We subjected the wind to his power, so that it blew gently, at his behest, wherever he willed, 36 and all the devils who built and dived for him. 37 The rest of the devils were bound in chains. 38 'This is Our gift; bestow or withhold without reckoning.' 39 And he had a near place in Our presence and a fair resort. 40
