Allah it is Who hath appointed for you the night that ye may repose therein, and the day enlightening. Verily Allah is the Lord of Grace for mankind; but most of mankind return not thanks. 61 Such is God, your Sustainer, the Creator of all that exists: there is no deity save Him. How perverted, then, are your minds! 62 Thus were turned away those who denied the communications of Allah. 63 Allah it is Who made the earth a dwelling place for you and made the sky a canopy, Who shaped you -- and shaped you exceedingly well -- and gave you good things as sustenance. That is Allah, your Lord; blessed be Allah, the Lord of the Universe. 64 He is the Living; there is no god except He. Supplicate to Him and make the religion sincerely His. Praise belongs to Allah, Lord of the Worlds! 65 ۞ Say, "I have been forbidden to invoke those whom you invoke besides God -- seeing that clear signs have come to me from my Lord; and I have been commanded to submit to the Lord of the Universe." 66 He it is Who created you from dust, then from a small lifegerm, then from a clot, then He brings you forth as a child, then that you may attain your maturity, then that you may be old-- and of you there are some who are caused to die before-- and that you may reach an appointed term, and that you may understand. 67 He it is who gives life and causes death; and when He decrees a matter, He but says to it, "Be," and it is. 68
