The food of the Zakkum tree 43 will be the food of the sinful: 44 Like molten copper; it churns in their bellies. 45 as boiling water bubbles. 46 'Seize him and drag him into the center of Hell. 47 Then pour upon his head the torment of boiling water. 48 Taste it - thou who [on earth] hast considered thyself so mighty, so noble! 49 "Truly this is what ye used to doubt!" 50 As to the Righteous (they will be) in a position of Security, 51 amidst gardens and fountains, 52 dressed in silks and brocade, set face to face. 53 Thus (shall it be), and We will wed them with Houris pure, beautiful ones. 54 They shall call therein for every fruit in security; 55 They will not taste death therein except the first death, and He will have protected them from the punishment of Hellfire 56 As bounty from your Lord. That is what is the great attainment. 57 And indeed, We have eased the Qur'an in your tongue that they might be reminded. 58 Therefore wait (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him) – they too are waiting. 59

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
