Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ By the Day of Resurrection, 1 No! I swear by the reproachful soul! 2 Do men think that We shall never be able to assemble their bones? 3 We certainly have the power to restore them even the very tips of their finger. 4 But man desires to continue in sin. 5 He asketh: When will be this Day of Resurrection? 6 But when the sight is dazed 7 and the moon is eclipsed, 8 And the sun and moon are conjoined, 9 On that Day man will say: "Where (is the refuge) to flee?" 10 No indeed; not a refuge! 11 The only place of refuge will be with God. 12 To man will be declared on that Day that which he hath sent on and left behind. 13 In fact man is a witness against himself, 14 even though he might make up excuses. 15 Do not move your tongue with it (the Revelation) to hasten it. 16 Lo! upon Us (resteth) the putting together thereof and the reading thereof. 17 And when We read it, follow thou the reading; 18 then it will be for Us to explain it. 19 Nay, (ye men!) but ye love the fleeting life, 20 And leave the Hereafter. 21 Some faces, that Day, will beam (in brightness and beauty);- 22 gazing towards their Lord. 23 And some faces, that Day, will be Basirah (dark, gloomy, frowning, and sad), 24 Fearing that a great disaster is going to befall them. 25 Yea, when (the soul) reaches to the collar-bone (in its exit), 26 and people ask, "Is there any wizard [that could save him]?" 27 And he (the dying person) will conclude that it was (the time) of departing (death); 28 and leg is intertwined with leg, 29 unto thy Lord that Day is the drive. 30
