The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the heavens and that which comes in the night -- 1 what do you know what the night-visitor is? 2 - The piercing Star! 3 For every soul there is a watcher. 4 So let man look - from what is he created. 5 He is created from a water dripping, 6 That is issued from between the backs and the ribs. 7 Verily He is Able to restore him, 8 The Day when secrets will be put on trial, 9 and [man] will have neither strength nor helper! 10 By heaven of the returning rain, 11 And [by] the earth which cracks open, 12 Indeed, the Qur'an is a decisive statement, 13 It is not a thing for amusement. 14 They are devising guile, 15 But I am planning a plan. 16 So respite the unbelievers; delay with them awhile. 17
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
