The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the angels who drag forth vehemently. 1 And by those who gently draw out the souls of the blessed, 2 and by those that speedily glide along (the cosmos), 3 and vie with the others (in carrying out their Lord's behests); 4 And then they manage the affair, 5 The day on which the quaking one shall quake, 6 and the second blast follows it, 7 On that Day will [men's] hearts be throbbing, 8 Their eyes cast down. 9 They are [presently] saying, "Will we indeed be returned to [our] former state [of life]? 10 even after we are fragmented bones' 11 They say: that then shall be a losing return. 12 So that is not but a single shout. 13 and behold, they are awakened. 14 Have you received the story of Moses? 15 When his Lord called him in the holy valley of Tuwa. 16 "Go to Pharaoh. Indeed, he has transgressed. 17 "And say to him, 'Wouldst thou that thou shouldst be purified (from sin)?- 18 Do you want me to guide you to your Lord, so that you should fear Him?'" 19 So he showed him the greater sign; 20 but the Pharaoh rejected it and disobeyed (Moses). 21 Then turned he away in haste, 22 Then he gathered (men) and called out. 23 And then said, “I am your most supreme lord.” 24 you pay attention 25 Surely there is a great lesson in it for whoever would fear (Allah). 26
