The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ GLORIFY THE NAME of your Lord, most high, 1 Who hath created and then proportioned, 2 Who measureth, then guideth; 3 The One Who produced pasture. 4 then made it dry dark, flaky stubble, 5 WE SHALL teach thee, and thou wilt not forget [aught of what thou art taught,] 6 unless God wills it to be otherwise. He knows all that is made public and all that remains hidden. 7 And We will make your way smooth to a state of ease. 8 So render good counsel if good counsel will avail. 9 He who fears will mind, 10 But the most hapless will flout it, 11 [He] who will [enter and] burn in the greatest Fire, 12 Neither dying therein nor living. 13 He has certainly succeeded who purifies himself 14 And who mentioned the name of his Lord, then offered prayer. 15 No; but you prefer the present life, 16 and the world to come is better, and more enduring. 17 This indeed is what is taught in the former scriptures -- 18 the Scrolls of Abraham and Moses. 19
