Al-Duhaa
The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the morning brightness, 1 and by the calm of night, 2 (Muhammad), your Lord has not abandoned you (by not sending you His revelation), nor is He displeased with you. 3 and the Hereafter will indeed be better for you than the present life; 4 Thy Lord shall give thee, and thou shalt be satisfied. 5 Did He not find you as an orphan and give you shelter? 6 Did He not find you unaware of the Right Way, and then directed you to it? 7 And found you in need, so made you prosperous? 8 Therefore, treat not the orphan with oppression, 9 And as for the petitioner, do not repel [him]. 10 And as for the favor of your Lord, do announce (it). 11
True are the words of God the Almighty.
