Destiny (Al-Qadr)

5 verses, revealed in Mecca after He Frowned ('Abasa) before The Sun (Al-Shams)

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

BEHOLD, from on high have We bestowed this [divine writ] on Night of Destiny. 1 And what will make you comprehend what the grand night 2 The grand night is better than a thousand months. 3 The angels and Jibreel descend in it by the permission of their Lord for every affair, 4 (The night is) Peace until the rising of the dawn. 5

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
