The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate

Woe to every (kind of) scandal-monger and-backbiter, 1 who collects and hordes wealth, 2 He thinks that his wealth will make him immortal. 3 By no means! He shall surely be cast into the crushing torment. 4 and what shall teach thee what is the Crusher; 5 (It is) the kindled Fire of Allah, 6 Which rises above the hearts. 7 Verily it will close in upon them, 8 in outstretched columns. 9
