S (Saad)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
Sad. By the Qur'an full of admonition. 1 In fact, the disbelievers are in false pride and opposition. 2 How many generations have We destroyed before them. They called: 'The time is neither of escape, nor safety' 3 They wondered that a warner had come to them from among themselves, and the deniers of the Truth said: “This is a sorcerer, and a big liar. 4 Maketh he the gods One God? Verily that is a thing astounding! 5 And the leaders among them went about (saying): "Go on, and remain constant to your aliha (gods)! Verily, This is a thing designed (against you)! 6 We have not heard of this in the latest religion. This is not but a fabrication. 7 "What! has the Message been sent to him - (Of all persons) among us?"... but they are in doubt concerning My (Own) Message! Nay, they have not yet tasted My Punishment! 8 Or, are with them the treasures of the mercy of thy Lord, the Bestower? 9 Or is it that the dominion of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them is theirs? If so, let them ascend up with means (to the heavens)! 10 this host too, among other hosts, is bound to suffer defeat. 11 Before them the people of Noah denied the truth, as did the 'Ad and Pharaoh of the Stakes, 12 and [the tribe of] Thamud, and the people of Lot, and the dwellers of the wooded dales [of Madyan]: they all were leagued together, [as it were, in their unbelief:] 13 Not one (of them) but rejected the messengers, but My punishment came justly and inevitably (on them). 14
