The people of Lut denied the Noble Messengers. 160 Their brother Lot asked them, "Why do you not have fear of God? 161 I am for you an honest Messenger. 162 “Therefore fear Allah and obey me.” 163 "No reward do I ask of you for it: my reward is only from the lord of the Worlds. 164 Do you approach males among the worlds 165 "And leave those whom Allah has created for you to be your mates? Nay, ye are a people transgressing (all limits)!" 166 Said they: "Indeed, If thou desist not, O Lot, thou wilt most certainly be expelled [from this township]!" 167 He said: Surely I am of those who utterly abhor your doing; 168 “My Lord, rescue me and my family from their deeds.” 169 So We saved him and his whole family 170 Save an old woman among the lingerers. 171 Thereafter We annihilated the rest. 172 And We rained upon them a rain [of stones], and evil was the rain of those who were warned. 173 Verily, in this is indeed a sign, yet most of them are not believers. 174 And lo! thy Lord, He is indeed the Mighty, the Merciful. 175
