And Noah verily prayed unto Us, and gracious was the Hearer of his prayer 75 We saved him and his people from great distress, 76 And We made his offspring the survivors. 77 And We left (this blessing) for him among generations to come in later times: 78 Peace be on Nuh among the worlds. 79 Lo! thus do We reward the good. 80 He is indeed one of Our high ranking, firmly believing bondmen. 81 Then We drowned the disbelievers. 82 ۞ And most surely Ibrahim followed his way. 83 When he came to his Lord, with a sound heart. (Free from falsehood). 84 When he said to his father and his people: What is it that you worship? 85 Why do you solicit false gods instead of God? 86 What do you think of the Lord of the Worlds' 87 Then he looked at the stars, looking up once, 88 and said, "Verily, I am sick [at heart]!" 89 And they turned their backs on him and went away. (The pagans thought he would transmit the disease). 90 He then sneaked upon their deities and said, “Do you not eat?” 91 What is the matter with you, that you do not speak' 92 And he turned upon them a blow with [his] right hand. 93 And (his people) came toward him, hastening. 94 He said: 'Do you worship what you, yourselves have carved 95 while it is Allah Who has created you and all that you make?” 96 They said, “Construct a building (furnace) for him, and then cast him in the blazing fire!” 97 They had contrived an evil plan against him, but We abased them all. 98 And he said: "I am going away to my Lord who will show me the way. 99 "My Lord! Grant me (offspring) from the righteous." 100 And We gave him the glad tidings of a very gentle son (Ishmael). 101 When his son was old enough to work with him, he said, "My son, I have had a dream that I must sacrifice you. What do you think of this?" He replied, "Father, fulfill whatever you are commanded to do and you will find me patient, by the will of God". 102 So when they had both submitted their wills (to Allah), and he had laid him prostrate on his forehead (for sacrifice), 103 We called out: "O Abraham, 104 Of a surety thou hast fulfilled the vision. Verily We! thus We recompense the well-doers. 105 Indeed, this was the clear trial. 106 And We ransomed him with a momentous sacrifice: 107 And We left for him among the later folk (the salutation): 108 Peace be on Abraham. 109 Thus do We reward the good. 110 Verily, he was one of Our believing slaves. 111 And We gave him good tidings of Isaac, a prophet from among the righteous. 112 and We blessed him and Isaac, and from their offspring are some gooddoers, and others who clearly wronged themselves. 113
